Planting a Seed in the Local Public Library
Look what turned up in a nearby public library (see above photo)! Someone donated a copy, something libraries seem to love, and a few days later it turned up on this display. It’s another way to plant a gospel seed in our communities. Imagine how a casual library user might happen upon this book and begin to read in there about forgiveness from sin and salvation in Jesus Christ. Could this be something you or your family would like to do for your local library?
By now many of you have been able to get your hands on a copy of the Devotional – we hope you are enjoying it! Even more, we hope it is helpful in strengthening your faith and directing all honour to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Sales are going very well across Canada, much better than we could have anticipated or hoped for. In fact, demand is proving so strong that a second printing is already in the works! Stay tuned for more details on that and on a wider distribution into the US and beyond.
As the monies come in we plan very soon to send the first proceeds cheque to benefit the Reading Room in Recife, Brazil, part of the mission work undertaken by the Aldergrove Canadian Reformed Church. Your prayers for this mission work are always appreciated – and needed.
For our friends in Western Australia who are patiently waiting for their copy, do not worry – it’s on its way! A shipment is expected to land on your beautiful shores by the second week of September, the Lord willing. There are only a limited amount of copies so please do secure your order in advance. In the Perth area you can contact a local representative of Pro Ecclesia Book Shop or email armadale@proecclesia.com.au. For those in the Albany area, your local Christian book seller should be stocking copies as well.
Thank-you all for your interest in and support of this writing venture! May God receive all the glory!
